Ever organized your crafting materials into neat containers, only to spend half your play session shuffling items in and out of your inventory?

SCIE fixes that.

Mark your containers once. Craft from anywhere nearby. No transfers, no juggling. Your materials just appear in the crafting menu.

How it works

The toggle power cycles three states: LOCAL (green glow, works when nearby) → GLOBAL (gold glow, works from anywhere) → OFF (red glow, disabled). Use SCIE: Detect Containers to see all nearby crafting containers glow for 15 seconds.

  1. 1 Approach any container you want to use for crafting
  2. 2 Cast SCIE: Toggle Container (found in Powers) while looking at it
  3. 3 The container pulses green and you hear a confirmation sound
  4. 4 Use any nearby crafting station — your marked containers now contribute materials
  5. 5 Craft what you need — materials are consumed directly from their containers

Compatibility

Integrated SLID (SLID networks can query SCIE containers, and SLID Link containers work as SCIE crafting sources — toggle per-network in MCM), Legacy of the Dragonborn, General Stores, Simplest Horses, Convenient Horses, Nether's Follower Framework, Khajiit Will Follow
Compatible Essential Favorites, CACO, CCOR, Ordinator, Vokrii, all player home mods, Creation Club homes, and survival modes
Incompatible Linked Crafting Storage (choose one or the other), Alchemy Reworked (workaround: put alchemy ingredients in player inventory or horse saddlebags)

Requirements

Skyrim SE, AE, or VR
SKSE64 matching your game version
SkyUI for MCM (optional but recommended)

For mod authors

SCIE exposes two integration points:

API Documentation Query SCIE's merged inventory from Papyrus via SCIE_API or from native C++/SKSE plugins via the SKSE messaging interface.
INI home configs Pre-configure containers for specific player homes so users don't have to mark them manually. Ship an INI file with your home mod and SCIE picks it up at load time.
Global Containers

Access your storage from anywhere

Promote any container to global and craft from it no matter where you are. Native support for Legacy of the Dragonborn, General Stores, and Hip Bag. Non-persistent containers are detected automatically and kept local-only.

Horse Saddlebags

Your horse carries more than you think

If your horse has saddlebag inventory, SCIE can pull materials from it at any crafting station. Works with Simplest Horses, Convenient Horses, and any mod using the standard PlayerHorseFaction.

Follower Inventory

Stop treating your followers like pack mules

Nearby followers and spouses automatically contribute their inventory at crafting stations. NFF additional inventory satchels and Khajiit Will Follow storage containers are included. Safety filters keep their weapons and armor intact.
